From the office of departure to the office of destination.

We organise the movement of goods under customs supervision, with an NCTS declaration, guarantee management and monitoring through to clearance at destination.

Movement under a customs procedure

Transit allows goods to move between customs offices with duties and taxes suspended until the movement is completed at destination.

External transit

For third-country goods moving within the EU without being released for free circulation.

Internal transit

For Union goods that must keep their customs status along the route.

Common transit

Between the EU and common transit countries, with a single procedure and monitoring.

The procedure is chosen according to the origin of the goods, the route and the office of destination.

What we need for the initial review

  • Commercial invoice
  • Packing list
  • Transport documents (CMR, B/L, AWB)
  • Previous customs documents, where available
  • Description of goods, weight and packing
  • Vehicle and carrier details
  • Office of departure and office of destination

A correct movement starts with complete and consistent data.

Send what you have. We check consistency of route, cargo and guarantee before filing in NCTS.

From filing to clearance of the movement

Preparation

Review of cargo, route and guarantee details before electronic filing.

NCTS declaration

Electronic filing and issue of an MRN number to track the movement.

Start of transit

The goods enter circulation with the required seals and time limits.

Arrival & completion

Presentation at the office of destination and clearance of the movement.

Smooth completion depends on correct filing, meeting time limits and presentation at the declared office of destination.

Covering the potential customs debt

Individual guarantee

Covers one specific transit operation.

Comprehensive guarantee

Covers multiple operations, with an authorisation and a reference amount.

Guarantee waiver

Applies only under specific, authorised conditions.

Before filing we check the validity of the guarantee and the reference amount, so the movement is not rejected.

The movement must arrive as it departed

  • Meeting the declared arrival deadline
  • Carrying the required documents with the vehicle
  • Presentation at the declared office of destination
  • Intact customs seals
  • Immediate notice in the event of an incident
  • Route matching the data in NCTS

Any deviation from the declared data must be notified in time, so the movement is not interrupted.

When the transport data change

Change of means of transport

It is recorded and notified so the movement can continue with the new details.

Transhipment of goods

Carried out with customs notification, without altering the cargo or the seals where required.

Incident or accident

We notify the authorities and organise the continuation of the movement with the available data.

Broken or damaged seal

It is reported immediately. The cause is examined and the next step is set before the journey continues.

Changes along the route do not automatically cancel the movement, provided they are notified correctly and in time.

Routes that need customs continuity

From port to inland customs

Movement of goods from the port of arrival to the customs office where the procedure is completed.

From airport to a customs facility

Air cargo moving under supervision until presentation at destination.

Between EU member states

Transit when the goods must keep their customs status.

To common transit countries

Movement to or through common transit countries, with single monitoring.

Before transit starts

The MRN is the unique reference number of the movement in NCTS. It is used to track transit from departure through to clearance at destination.

Organise the transit before the cargo starts moving.

With the core transport details we review the route, guarantee and NCTS requirements before departure.
